The Story Behind Obsidian & Moonstone

Obsidian & Moonstone begins with a simple, impossible need: Calista is dying, and the Mothers' Council has no answer. Selene refuses to accept that the sea has written the sisters' ending.

To save her sister, Selene breaks the oldest law of the sea and bargains with a vampire. A moonstone is exchanged for blood, but the cure carries a cost neither sister can set aside.

The bargain leaves a royal vampire dead, awakens a power in Calista, and draws Shade—the Shadow Prince—toward Selene. From that first exchange, the series' central tensions meet: sisterhood, forbidden magic, desire, and the danger of a secret capable of igniting war.
